It’s Electric, Boogie Woogie!

Pedego Electric Bikes Have Arrived at Bikeworks

There are so many songs that capture our mood right now. I mean, we’re practically doing the electric slide as I type this. We’re probably gonna ride down to Electric Avenue, and then we’ll take it higher. See what I did there?

Alright, I’ll stop.

We’re just crazy giddy because our Pedego electric bikes have arrived. And WOW. There’s something about riding a bicycle that brings an awesome feeling of freedom, of youth. Sadly, sometimes a strong wind or a hilly route robs us of that exhilaration. That’s not a problem anymore. Not when you have an electric bike, and certainly not when that electric bike is a Pedego.

Did we mention we are the EXCLUSIVE Pedego retailer in Lancaster County, and beyond?

So why buy Pedego? We’ve had the pleasure to ride lots of electric bikes over the years. When we made the move to open our Lititz location, we wanted to take a step back and really research, ride, and analyze all the electric bikes on the market. We took our time, and all our work pointed us directly to Pedego. First of all, there’s the bike itself. The quality is head and shoulders above the competition – the best and most user-friendly display screen we’ve ever seen, the best ability to fit the bike to every rider thanks to a fully adjustable, no-tools-required stem, and the best lineup of bikes (you’ll find one for every kind of rider, from low-entry cruiser to suspension-armed mountain bike and even a folding bike).

The bottom line is that Pedego lives and breathes electric bikes. That’s what they do. That’s all they do. Their research and development team spends their days dreaming up ways to make electric bikes better. This just isn’t the case with traditional bike manufacturers who happen to have one or two electric bikes in their lineup. Pedego’s customer service team won’t scratch their heads when we (or you!) call with a question. Again, because electric bikes are what they do, every member of their staff understands electric and is passionate about the product. We talked to lots of Pedego retailers before we made this decision, and every single one said the customer service and support was second to none.

Curious about what an electric bike does and why it might be the right bike for you? Let’s talk.

So right now Mark is standing over my shoulder reminding me, “electric bikes are really electric ASSIST bikes. Make sure people know how they work!”

And that’s a great point. The idea of an electric bike is to add ease to your pedal stroke, but you’re still pedaling; you’re still riding a bike. Otherwise we’d just call this thing an electric scooter, right?

Pedego Bikes allow you to choose just how much assistance you want. Let’s say you’re just starting out on your cycling journey. You might want to be at a level of full assist. You’re still turning the pedals, but without any real resistance. Maybe after a few weeks you want to give yourself more of a workout. Simply turn down the amount of assist. You’ll do some of the work; the bike will handle the rest. Oh, and let’s say you just need a quick surge of help. There’s a throttle for that. There’s also the option to pedal the bike without any assist at all.

Depending on the battery you choose, your battery charge will last as long as 70+ miles – the amount of assist you’re using, your weight and terrain can push this mileage up or down. Around 5 hours plugged into a normal household outlet and your battery will be ready to roll again.

Here at Lititz & Intercourse Bike Works, we’ll be selling Pedego bikes and renting them. Now you can do one of our 40-mile self-guided tours without a worry in the world!

The possibilities are endless. With a bike like a Pedego, you could start commuting to work on two wheels instead of four. You could lengthen your weekend rides. You could add a riding partner who was too intimidated to join you in the past. The possibilities are endless. And they’re great. They’re electric slide worthy. So excuse me, I’ve got some dancing to do…
